The Memory Supplement Guide: Panels, Doses And Evidence

Quick answer

A memory supplement label has to print the quantitative amount of every ingredient that is not a listed nutrient, which is why some panels carry five numbers and others carry one blend total. This guide covers what the rule requires, what a standardisation percentage establishes, and how much weight a single botanical trial can carry.

This guide covers the rule that shapes a panel, what a standardisation figure establishes, and how to weigh a botanical trial.

The rules

What a panel is required to print

21 CFR 101.36 is the rule that sets the shape of a Supplement Facts panel. Its subsection (b)(3)(ii) requires the quantitative amount by weight per serving of every dietary ingredient that is not a listed nutrient.

That is the sentence behind every fully specified panel in this category. A proprietary blend is the exception the rule allows: the blend total must be printed, but the split inside it need not be.

21 CFR 101.93 draws the other line, the one between a structure-function claim and a disease claim, and the FDA’s own page works through examples of each.

Reading the numbers

What a standardisation figure does and does not establish

A figure like “3% salidroside” tells you how much of one marker compound an extract contains. It is genuinely useful: it lets you convert a milligram of extract into a milligram of the thing that was studied.

What it does not do is identify a species. Salidroside occurs across several Rhodiola species; rosavin is the marker that separates R. rosea from them. Booker 2016 analysed about forty commercial rhodiola products and found roughly a fifth of those claiming R. rosea carried no rosavin at all.

An ingredient named with no standardisation at all is not dishonest; it simply leaves the active content open, and a trial comparison has to be read with that in mind.

Reading the evidence

How much weight one botanical trial can carry

A review of nine ingredients with at least three published studies each concluded that the work is inconsistent, imprecise and often methodologically flawed. That is a statement about certainty rather than about effect, and it is the right starting point.

Two habits help. Prefer a systematic review to a single trial, because a review has to state its inclusion rules: the 2014 bacopa meta-analysis would only admit trials of twelve weeks or more, which tells you something about the ingredient before you read a single result.

And read the dose. A positive trial at 300 mg a day says nothing about 100 mg, and a null trial at the same dose (as in 2025) is part of the same record.

Who writes this

How this guide was written

This desk publishes what the label prints and says plainly where a figure is not published. The four claims below are the ones a sceptical reader can audit in ten minutes, which is the only reason to make them:

  1. The printed panel is the source. Every amount on this website is read off the MemoHive Supplement Facts panel in the seller’s own label artwork, in the panel’s order and the panel’s wording. Prices come from the seller’s order page, read on 19 September 2026, not from a review column.
  2. A trial dose and a label amount are never the same number. Where a study is cited, the amount that study used is printed beside it and the amount this label prints is printed next to that. The two columns are kept apart on purpose.
  3. Sources are real and linked in the sentence. Every study cited here was confirmed against its PubMed record before it was written down, and every government page was opened and checked by its title rather than assumed.
  4. Corrections change the date. Write to [email protected] and the review date at the foot of the page moves forward.

We earn when you buy. Gomemohive is the USA Authorized MemoHive Retailer named at the top of this page, and this website makes money on orders placed through it. That is exactly why the dose comparison, the three-star reviews and the four-to-eight week wait are printed here: they are where our interest and yours pull apart, and you should be able to watch us choose.

Order support on +1 (302) 200-3480 and [email protected] handles tracking, changes, cancellations and refunds. It is not a sales line, and this website never presents it as a way to place an order: orders go through the checkout only.
